Recycled polyester is a polymer-based fabric made using post-consumer (or pre-consumer but post-industrial) polyester. In other words, it takes either your old polyester clothing, used soda plastic bottles and/or excess ends from other polyester uses and melts them down to create a polyester goo which is then cooled and spun into a yarn. This yarn is then knit into a durable polyester fleece that will, in most cases, never need to be re-created into anything nor be thrown away.
